Let’s get to the nitty gritty. Back in college my friends and I used to do this thing once in a while. Basically, one of us would sit down and play a horror game late at night, with the lights off and everyone else crowded around the screen. Most commonly we played Slender, but a few other games were thrown around as well. Man, those nights were fun. I’m not usually a big fan of horror games. Maybe it’s because I’m a frightened child. I don’t know. I’m not a doctor. But with friends around, they are just as much fun as they are terrifying.
Now that we’re out of college it’s much more difficult to get together. We all have jobs, differing schedules, and we no longer live down the hall from each other. You know; normal “growing up” stuff. But I miss the old days, and in particular the horror games were a joy. So I thought; why not bring those back? Why not play a couple of games together like we used to? Why not throw it online for other people to laugh at us?
And why not do it while we’re drunk?
And so I’m announcing Drunken Horrors, a Let’s Play where I and a few of my friends drink way to much alcohol and then yell at each other while struggling through a horror game. And we’re going to let everyone watch it live on Twitch.tv on my personal channel that I’m finally using for something. It’ll be spirits and spirits. Alcohol and abominations. Booze and beasts. Liquor and… uh… liches?
Our first horror game will commence on September 4th at approximately 8:00 pm EST! We’ll be playing Alien: Isolation. If you miss the livestream we’ll have the broadcast available for viewing not long after.
See you then!
