While we have spent months sending out emails in request and gratitude for our donations, our team will be officially starting their 36 hour gaming marathon tomorrow morning, November 18, for Extra Life! We raised over $1,000 for the Miracle Network, Boston Children’s Hospital in honor of Extra-Life and the opportunity to game to help awesome kids! It has been a great experience fundraising and talking to people who had never heard of this kind of marathon. We’re not running or walking a race, but we are going to game with our team for an entire three-day weekend. And you can watch it all at our Twitch stream.
We’ve raised more than double our original goal, and that’s awesome. Thank you to everyone who donated! But, we can always go further. This is for a great cause, and the more we can raise the more kids we can help.
So what does Dudes of the Bro Table have planned? On Saturday, I will learn how to finally play Warhammer 40K, and we will be streaming the game. I have watched Jeff play a few games with his friend Dan, but I think the best way to learn anything is to try it out for myself. I will be playing his Space Marines (Salamanders, apparently), and Jeff will be playing Tyranids. This should be interesting. I should probably study up this week. He will kick my butt.
After that, we’ll be playing Destiny 2, Overwatch, and yes, the new Star Wars: Battlefront II (not necessarily in that order). Everything will be on Xbox One, and we invite others to join us in-game and help our team increase our goal!
Through most of Sunday and Monday you will see our friends James, Victoria, Tyler, and Dallas taking over the marathon, streaming some of the games above as well as others like Rainbow Six Siege. If we, that is Jeff and Jenn, recover from the previous day and night quickly, we will also join in. The head set banter will be marvelous.
While the game days are a blast, it is the fundraising efforts and bringing people to our pages that are the most crucial. Because of the people and companies that donated to our team, we were able to make a big difference to a lot of sick kids who need to just get better. Every little bit makes a huge difference to the kids.

You can follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the live streaming next weekend by searching “Dudes of the Bro Table.” You can also find our donation page linked here. If you can, please share our links so that everyone can learn about this great event. Thank you for your generosity, and we’ll see you tomorrow!
